Learn how to configure Spotipo with Aruba Instant On Aps

Add an Aruba Instant-On Site in Spotipo


A Site represents each location. A site can have multiple routers (of the same type)

Go to Site Selector and use Create A New location button. Select the device type as Aruba Instant On

Get Config Details from Spotipo

After adding an Aruba Instant ON site, navigate to Settings -> Aruba Instant On

Please note down the splash page URL, Identity, and Radius Secret for your site.

Add a network in Aruba Instant On Portal

Login to your Aruba ION account at portal.arubainstanton.com. Then Navigate to Networks.

Press the Add button to create a new network.

Under the identification tab, select Guest as usage and Portal as security.

Press Save to create the network.

Customize Aruba Instant On Guest portal

Click on the network just created. Under the identification tab, please click on Customize Guest portal.

Select External as Portal type and click on the Custom icon.

Copy and paste the Splash Page URL from Spotipo as Server URL. Make sure to leave the Redirect URL blank.

Allowed Domains

Under allowed domains, please add app.spotipo.com as a domain and make sure to press the + icon. If you want to use Facebook or Twitter login, please enable them as well.

Radius Settings

  • Use the IP 35.205.248.64 as the primary Radius server

  • Copy and paste Secret from Spotipo Dashboard

  • Enable Send Radius accounting and secondary Radius server

  • Use the IP 34.77.150.10 as the secondary radius server

  • Copy and paste Secret from Spotipo Dashboard

Copy and paste Identity value from Spotipo as the NAS Identifier.

Wait for few minutes and connect a Guest device to the newly created SSID and you should be able to see the configured landing page.
